Job Summary The Director has the responsibility and accountability for planning, organizing and directing all activities related to the Care Coordination Program including: case management, utilization review, transplant financial coordination, pre-certification and insurance verification processes. Responsibilities include directing these departments in a financially responsible manner, addressing the needs of both internal and external customers and monitoring all departmental activities. The director is responsible for developing systems and process to ensure compliance with all financial reporting mandates as it relates to admitting/pre-cert/utilization review processes. The director develops a partnership with the Director of Social Services to promote effective integration of patient/family care needs across the continuum of care, and works within the newly designed Patient Access center structure to ensure patient and physician satisfaction with the insurance verification/reporting process JOB The individual must be a Registered Nurse, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, required, Masters in Nursing or related field preferred Certification in Case Management preferred. Strong clinical background with five years experience in case management and demonstrate knowledge and experience in project management, effective managerial skills and principles surrounding quality improvement and utilization management.
