Job Description:
The incumbent is responsible to coordinate and monitor the daily operations of the clinical staff and ensure appropriate level clinical case management services are provided. The daily clinical and administrative programming needs and coverage issues are reviewed and appropriate accommodations are made as needed, which helps to manage crisis issues that arise. Other Administrative, Research and/or Monitoring (10%): The incumbent serves as VA Connecticut\'s primary point of contact for the National Program, Office of Mental Health Services, VACO. The incumbent performs the appropriate screening, tracking and verification for monitoring purposes , Performance Monitors, clinical reminders) to enhance research/evidenced-based efforts as appropriate. Key Requirements: U.S. Citizenship Must pass pre-employment examination Background and/or Security Investigation required. Major Duties: Clinical (65%) The incumbent is the primary provider of clinical mental health services to the program veterans, coordinating and delivering the clinical mental health services provided by the program. Responsibilities are varied and reflect the multitude of services that make up the quality provision of community based collaboration, assessment, clinical case management and residential mental health treatments to veterans suffering from homelessness and severe and persistent mental health illnesses.
