We have been retained by our client, in their search for a QC Micro Analyst, this is a Full time long term contract opportunity, Located in Albany, NY. Pay is $15/hr negotiable based on experience.

Responsibilities:
Performs testing to ensure cGMP compliance in the manufacturing facility. Assesses the microbiological quality of products, manufacturing equipment, manufacturing process areas, and various facility utilities.
• Performs all aspects of respective areas of operations.
• Performs environmental monitoring of process areas.
• Performs high purity water, clean steam, and compressed gas systems sampling.
• Performs personnel monitoring of manufacturing personnel.
• Performs LAL testing for determination of endotoxin content of water and product.
• Performs bioburden testing of water and products.
• Performs microbiological testing of in-process and final product materials.
• Performs microbial identification procedures.
• Performs biological and endotoxin indicator testing used in the validation of manufacturing equipment.
• May perform acceptance testing of commercially prepared microbiological culture media.
• May maintain laboratory supplies, media, and reagents inventory.
• May review and update SOPs.
• May update microbiological environmental monitoring results database and prepare monthly report.
• Uses Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for sample and sample test result tracking.
• May participate in training of other employees.
Equipment Used:
• SAS air sampler;
• MetOne particulate counter;
• Mattson Garvin Slit to Agar air sampler;
• Biomerieux Vitek Microbial Identification System;
• Thermomax Microplate Reader with Softmax Software for Endotoxin Content Testing;
• Shimadzu UV Spectrophotometer;
• LIMS;
• Computer and general office equipment.
Requirements:
• Experience with Aseptic technique;
• Knowledge of cGMP;
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database management software;
• Documentation, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
• Requires BS/BA in Life Sciences and 2-5 years of relevant work experience in one of the following areas: GMP, pharmaceutical biology lab, medical technology, clean room environment, or industrial microbiology environment.
• Will Substitute relevant work experience for education. Candidates with Medical technology background encouraged to apply!
