Job Description:
This position is directly responsible for providing direction and planning for the effective functioning of the Patient Access Center and all inpatient admitting functions. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Sciences, or related field preferred. Two or more year's management experience with a minimum of one year in direct Admitting office environment required. Demonstrated record of accomplishment in program development, program implementation, and customer service. Prior work experience in a medical environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with advanced interpersonal skills including tact, discretion and courtesy necessary to interact cordially and effectively at all times. Handles personal and telephone contact with patients, staff, and Hospital administration and is often called upon to discuss sensitive and confidential financial and medical issues. Ability to interact effectively with people in a variety of contexts, including registration staff, patients, physicians, senior management and third party payors.
