Develops andpublishes plans to increase efficiency, reduce costs andimprove processes.c. Proactivelyaccesses need for change in the laboratory and proposesthose solutions in writing to the GeneralManager. Solutions include costs (equipment andother capital spends), resources needed and timelinesfor completion.d. Reviews sales andmarketing material for accuracy and medical utility.e. Develop andmanage the budget. 2) Scientificdirection and oversight: a. Responsible foroverall scientific and technical direction of theMolecular business including direct responsibility forsolving any technical issues.b. Reviews, on aregular basis, overall performance of each molecularlaboratory, including, but not limited to, reportedreference ranges, type of reports submitted to clients,and testing referred to reference laboratories.c. Overseeslaboratory compliance with State, Federal, CAP, and CLIAlicensure requirements. Assures that the laboratoryadheres to the compliance policies set forth by theCompany and by both governmental and non-governmentalregulating agencies.f. Manages and gives direction to the Scientific Directorof the Molecular Infectious Disease laboratory, the SiteManager for Eden Prairie, MN and the molecularoperations in Aurora, CO.g. Proactivelyprovides training for staff on procedures, processes andthe science of Molecular Disease.d. Assures that thequality of laboratory results is at the highestpractical level and that turn-around time objectives aremet.e. Identifies,investigates and explores the need for new assays,equipment, and processes, finding ways to enhancebusiness performance and opportunities with an awarenessof the cost/benefits.f.
