Job Description:

This role will help ensure that publications conform to department and company standards, effectively communicate content and are technically accurate. The Technical Editor will coordinate with technical accounting professionals as well as production personnel on publishing of guidance and accounting publications. Requirements: - Minimum of Bachelor's degree or equivalent in English, Journalism, or related field - Minimum of three years' experience performing substantive editing of complex, technical materials; ability to analyze structure and think critically - Solid copyediting, researching and computer skills - Demonstrated mastery of grammar and usage rules; able to achieve high score on editorial test samples - Familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style; thorough understanding of what constitutes good writing; genuinely passionate about language - Able to make editorial and design decisions with minimal supervision - Able to review the work of peers and contribute constructive criticism - Able to serve as grammar and language expert when writers or others request assistance with content development - Able to work well with people and be a team player .
