Job Description:
The Williams Institute Judicial Education Director is primarily responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive judicial education program, including developing all curriculum and content for, and serving as an instructor in, the Institute's judicial training courses. Candidates must have a JD and five or more years of successful experience as a lawyer, law clerk, law professor or instructor, and/or judge, as well as knowledge of sexual orientation and gender identity law and policy issues, scholarship and scholars. Demonstrated skill in writing effective, professional, clear and compelling educational materials, proposals and program announcements, as well as strong oral and public speaking skills required. Prior experience planning and executing conferences, panels, events and other training programs preferred. The Judicial Education Director must be able to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
