Job Description:
The Director of Continuing Education Programs is responsible for overseeing the operations of all Continuing Education Programs. Programs include, but are not limited to, evening and weekend adult programs, College for Kids, as well as contract and grant-funded programs. The Director manages, supervises and evaluates the work of Continuing Education\'s program coordinators, instructional staff, college assistants and full time staff. He/She implements instructional programs and activities, and interfaces with other units of the College. Responsibilities include: Insure the smooth operation of Continuing Education Programs, which includes oversight of logistics, personnel and programs. Recruit, interview and select support and instructional staff for all Continuing Education program activities, including hiring faculty and coordinators for the administration of all programs. Monitor and evaluate the performance of all Continuing Education personnel (part-time and full-time); design and implement staff development activities. Strategic planning for changing needs regarding space and facilities. Responsible for space allocation, alignment of OCE calendar with credit calendar, allocating and scheduling staff hours.
