Job Description:
Develop and implement preventive actions to increase equipment uptime and product flow. Make visible process quality and throughput. Institute a structure where associates get the support they need, when they need it, to excel in their jobs. Develop an interest and knowledge in real time plant floor conditions. Drive improvement based on timely, factual data. Train associates in multiple standardized work combinations to meet changing demands. Support the introduction of new products and process by ensuring high process capability. Develop & analyze product value stream maps in the plant. Identify opportunities & eliminate non-value added to reduce year over year costs, increase flow and reduce lead-time. Maintain accurate job standards. Ensure system is updated as improvements occur. Lead problem-solving activities within teams for process improvements. Ensure appropriate communications to inform associates about important business information and engage associates in the business. Foster a culture of organizational excellence through the development of associates and the use of proactive, cross-functional teams to provide business solutions. Conduct performance reviews and develop associates to maximize their potential. Train and engage associates to improve safety practices. Lead the implementation of 5S and safety initiatives on the floor. Develop department budgets and insure they are to plan.
