Encourage awareness and knowledge of safety among subordinates in an effort to minimize accident occurrence and resultant lost time, and maintain departmental discipline to ensure reduced absentee goals are met. Requirements: Requires a B.S.M.E. degree or equivalent, coupled with ten years of in-depth manufacturing knowledge of tools, dies and machinery used in the metal working industry. Masters degree in Engineering preferred.· Strong supervisory background with emphasis on working through subordinates in assuring that end results are accomplished on a timely basis.· Position requires good computer skills with expertise in Dbase, Excel, MS Word and spreadsheet/chart related software along with advance knowledge of S.P.C. Knowledge of advanced statistical tools such as D.O.E.
