Job Description:
Nurse Manager to oversee clinical operations and to work with inpatient and outpatient renal transplant patients. The key responsibilities of this position include coordination of all preoperative and postoperative transplant evaluations, supervision of nursing staff, outpatient clinic coordination, patient and family education, and care of dialysis access patients. The selected candidate will also develop and implement protocols in the care of ESRD/transplant populations and participate in research studies. The ideal candidate will possess surgery and management experience and excellent communication and leadership skills. The position necessitates that candidates be highly capable of collaborating with all members of the health care team. Candidates should possess excellent clinical and organizational skills and be able to function independently. The selected candidate will rotate call which will include weekends and holidays. Minimum Qualifications: An appropriately accredited bachelor of science in nursing and three years of nursing experience, which includes at least one year of lead or charge nurse experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Must have a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
