Job Description:
The Ortho-McNeil Janssen Pharmaceuticals Inc.(OMJPI) Centers of Excellence is comprised of Finance/Health Care Compliance, Human Resources/Sales Training, Information Management, New Business Development/Business Intelligence, Process Excellence/Strategic Planning, Sales & Marketing Services, and Strategic Business Group. These Centers of Excellence support the business of PriCara, Unit of Ortho-McNeil, Inc., Ortho-McNeil Neurologics, Inc., Janssen, L.P., and Ortho-McNeil Janssen Scientific Affairs. The Manager, Marketing Research - Concerta will be responsible for managing qualitative and quantitative primary market research projects to support the Concerta Brand Team. Develop and manage market research plan and budget. Analyze competition and identify potential marketing opportunities and threats. Participate in forecasting products and markets. Stay abreast of emerging healthcare/pharmaceutical industry trends. Manage research/analyses to support development and tracking of product promotion, evaluation of new market opportunities, and direction for new product/lifecycle development. Select and manage suppliers on design and implementation of projects. Manage multiple projects and priorities according to research needs. Prepare and present findings and recommendations to marketing/senior management. Provide direction and recommended actions on strategic and tactical plans. Participate in recruiting, training, and development of staff. The individual is an integral part of the marketing team and will be relied upon as a core team member and leader. Will be required to collaborate with other functional colleagues in the Business Analytics group to generate greater insights and knowledge of the business and brand performance and communicate these learnings to business partners and the organization.
