Communicating efficiently with engineering dept. by asking relevant technical questions to illustrate the documents with information. Minimal impact on engineering dept. is expected due to your technical knowledge; Researches, writes, illustrates and produces a variety of technical documents using product specifications and other source documents; Clearly and correctly state and summarize project information and project activities; Interface cross-functionally within the product development team to acquire source material for documents and to develop an understanding of the products and processes; Organize and place raw data into usable tables. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with coursework in Technical Communication, Engineering or Computer Science; or equivalent experience; Must have 5-7 years of engineering technical writing experience; Must be able to technically interact with team members to gather, compile and document required information; Must have expert knowledge of Microsoft Office and Visio; Must have attention to detail; Must have the ability to keep track of document and project details; Must be able to work efficiently on documents and tasks while still maintain high quality in work; Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment; Must have an aptitude to understand engineering and other technical information; Problem solving skills and an ability to respond and adapt to change.
