Service Manager (Internal Job Title: Consultant)IT Service Manager (Internal Job Title: Consultant)The IT Service Manager (Consultant) is responsible for management of infrastructure related services within the IT organization. Scope includes service development, enhancement, problem resolution, marketing and training. Evaluates service quality and internal processes; recommends and drives enhancements to gain efficiencies and improve customer experiences. Must be able to consult with users, management, vendors and technical staff to access needs, requirements, and develop new services and/or solutions as required. Detailed responsibilities: Manage infrastructure-related services throughout their lifecycle. Ensure alignment and relevance to customer needs. Assess, and drive improve of, processes and technologies used for providing IT infrastructure services. Partner with management and technical staff to ensure effective service delivery outcomes and reduce costs. Understand and communicate service cost drivers. Ensure service costs are linked to new project initiatives. Provide single point of contact for service requests and proactively manage service demand.
