Job Description:
The department of Architecture includes the discipline of Construction Science and Management. Faculty must seek to help each student develop their human personality; understand the interaction of the beauty of the earth and the universe, and a personal commitment to the improvement of the human condition. The individual will report to the Associate Dean and Head, Department of Architecture in the College of Engineering, Architecture and Physical Sciences. Candidates for faculty positions in Architecture should have a terminal graduate degree in architecture or related field. Candidates for the Construction Science and Management discipline should have a terminal graduate degree in Construction Science or related field. Though not required, favorable consideration will be given to having professional registration/certification (National Council of Architectural Registration Board)/ (NCRB) and demonstrated practical as well as educational experience. As such, construction licensure/certification is desired. The review of applications will continue until all faculty positions are filled. With a strong orientation toward disciplines which highlight the relationship between education and workforce preparation in the sciences, professions and technical areas, Tuskegee University also emphasizes the importance of the liberal arts as a foundation for successful careers in all areas. Accordingly, all academic majors stress the mastery of a required core of liberal arts courses.
