Responsibilities: Conduct construction feasibility reviews of project plans and specifications Analyze survey reports maps drawings blueprints aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects Observe construction operations and maintenance activities at project site Interpret engineer's contract documents plans and specifications Monitors progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards Coordinate review and respond to contractor requests for information change requests shop drawings and other submittals Monitor contractor's activities for compliance with contract terms plans and specifications through on-site observation field testing and inspection Document contractor's progress versus the contract schedule Estimate quantities and cost of materials equipment or labor to determine project feasibility. Prepare daily observation and progress reports Maintain record of contractor's equipment and labor force at the project site Verify work progress quantities for progress payment requests Prepare agenda for and conduct weekly status meeting with contractor and owner's representative and prepare and distribute meeting minutes and action items Witness on-site testing of electrical and mechanical systems Monitor contractor's compliance with project permits and any reporting requirements. Maintain as-built drawings Required Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of power plant construction experience Minimum 10 years of related experience in the power industry.
