Currently, we are searching for an Engineering Manager to join our Orchard Park, NY facility. About theOpportunity: Engineering Manager Duties/Responsibilities: Lead the effort to develop and improve manufacturing processes, incorporating new technologies, in all teams. Work with Team Leaders to insure Engineering requirements are identified, prioritized and completed to meet all associated metrics. Lead the training of the workforces in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and techniques ensuring they have a solid understanding. These tools will include Value Stream Mapping, Single-Piece Flow, SMED, 5S, etc. Ensure each discipline (IE, ME, METech) has the necessary training and tools to meet their position’s requirements. Assist in the review and transition of jobs to production from a prototype status. Reviewing sales forecast and assist in the development and justification of new technologies and processes for capital plan. Have a clear understanding of the elements that drive the cost of our products. Leadership role in the shop to provide technical assistance and guidelines to manufacturing. Assist in problem solving both internally and externally, working closely with customers on internal and external corrective and preventive actions.
