Responsibilities: Preparation and / or review of federal and state income tax filings for 7 US corporate entities plus management of outsourcing process for foreign return filings. Responsible for all federal and state income tax quarterly estimates. Preparation of income tax provision in compliance with all tax-related GAAP including but not limited to FAS 109 FIN 48 and FAS 123(R). Assess each entity's certain and uncertain tax positions and recommend the appropriate accruals as required under FIN 48 Maintain a tax-basis balance sheet including all tax account reconciliations deferred tax account roll forward analysis and provision-to-return accounting Forecast tax provision and calculate the consolidated effective tax rate. Assist with research projects including interpretations of new tax law. Manage the compliance function for sales and use tax as well as property tax including preparation review of various filings and maintenance of the compliance process. Responsible for the supervision and development of Tax Staff. Knowledge Skills and Experience: Thorough knowledge of FAS 109 Tax Accounting for Income Taxes in a multi-entity structure coupled with tax-related SOX 404 experience Experience with consolidated federal tax filings as well as multi-state tax filings.
