This position will enable valuable transportation operations knowledge and management experience which can be applied in future roles. The primary responsibilities of this position are in strategic direction/implementation, cost management/reduction, carrier relations, performance reporting and process/procedure development/compliance. Additional Duties and Responsibilities may include: Managing and develop a team of skilled individuals Analyzing all components of logistics cost, and being able to influence cross organizations to ensure radical changes supporting cost improvements Manage operational relationship and performance of HP carriers Work with customers, accounts teams and CSR\'s to meet customer and exceed HP customer expectations Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the transportation network, document and implement as necessary Responsible to manage all categories of transportation cost (MOH and TE) Define ESS Americas Transportation strategy and tactics to support and drive necessary changes to meet targeted growth Provides solutions to improve TCE and service level Drives alignment and partnerships with ESS Logistics to drive down cost and improve customer experience Responsible to manage and own the Revenue Recognition delay factor Monitor capacity demand vs. supply Resolve issues regarding service failures and other escalated problems Develop operational and financial performance metrics and reports Drive process improvement.
