Job Description:
his new position at Intuit will be responsible for ensuring that planning and execution occurs so that systems are up and running and fully functional for as long as possible, at their highest availability. This includes the creation of local and distributed availability centers for backup and failover processing as well as application design and configuration to support High Availability.You must work cross-functionally with business leaders, product managers, engineering and development teams, QA, SCM, supply chain, marketing, customer support, IT, and other organizations inside and outside of Intuit. In all cases, you'll succeed not through positional authority and your own team, but rather through cooperation and influence of others' teams. You will be expected to remove roadblocks, drive critical decisions, and communicate expectations and progress along the way. You'll also be expected to look for ways to improve the solution: the delivery processes, organizational effectiveness and efficiency; and ultimately improve on the goal of delivering quality products to customers whenever they need them. This is a senior position requiring deep experience in project, program and people management and strong leadership skills. Other required skills include the ability to create and execute schedules incorporating many interrelated projects across multiple teams and the ability to communicate effectively across levels from individual contributor to senior executive.
