Job Description:
The consultant must assess the pros and cons of using the existing Oracle 10g database software or converting to Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (or higher) database software based on business requirements. Any specific regulations, requirements or expertise applicable, including specific background/security checks required. 1. Must have sufficient knowledge and understanding of a UNIX environment to be able to convert to the .NET Framework 3.0 environment. 2. Must have expert knowledge and experience of .NET Framework version 2.0 or higher (e.g., Common Language Runtime environment, base and extended class libraries, application security, role-based security, code access security, memory and file management, process and thread management, XML web services, Visual Studio 2005 or higher, etc.). a. Demonstrated knowledge and production experience in C# and VB.NET. b. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Web application development, including web services and other components of Service Oriented Architecture. c. Deep understanding of XML, including schemas and standards. 3.Must have strong knowledge and experience of Oracle 10g and SQL Server 2005 (or higher) database software and DBMS technologies. In addition, the selected candidate must understand principles of database tuning and transaction performance improvement.
