We are currently looking for a Database Manager to join our team in Katy, TX. Summary/Purpose: The Database Manager will be responsible for all operations and will work with development related database activities. This position will report to the IT Director and will supervise all database activities and DBA staff. As Manager DBA, they will work with all departments to understand their operational database requirements and then work closely with the IT organization to arrange system resources and ensure database requirements are met. They will implement processes to ensure the security of company and customer databases and ensure that databases are administered according to generally accepted practices. They will work with development to understand the future needs of the organization for scalability, performance and functionality and develop a vision for database design and operation. They will work with the Development staff to understand requirements for product enhancements and new products and design database solutions to fulfill product development requirements. Duties and Responsibilities: Manage DBA staff and all DBA activities. Provide database administration and monitoring in support of all company activities. Develop, implement and manage standard operating processes for database administration. Provide governance over company database operations and database schema. Control and maintain company database scripts. Work in collaboration with Development staff to understand product development roadmap and determine appropriate database designs to meet requirements.
