The successful candidate must be able to recognize industry trends that lead to major feature stories; discuss or learn to discuss industry issues with top executives; develop new material for ENR.com that can also be cycled into print and used in programming events; write clear, accurate copy that needs little editing; edit the work of freelancers and other staff members into near-perfect condition; package stories online and in print with photos and attention-grabbing and accurate headlines; make assignments to and supervise the work of freelancers; enrich or learn to enrich our websites with multimedi a and interactive features; work with video and production teams to produce business-oriented multimedi a content; back up your manager and fill in when he/she is traveling or on vacation.And knowledge of construction, while helpful, is not mandatory.
