Job Description:
Works with clients and in-house staff to plan and execute preclinical and early clinical development programs Prepares proposals for preclinical development programs, including individual study designs Reviews study designs or protocols to ensure consistency with client and regulatory requirements Works with individual study directors to resolve technical issues related to future study designs Leads a team of in-house scientists to plan and execute preclinical and early clinical development programs Hosts meetings with clients to review on-going programs and establishes future directions. Reviews technical validity of projects and study results Advises management on scientific and operational issues Creatively solves a wide range of scientific/regulatory problems Monitors all ongoing projects against development timetables for their customer(s) Prepares project updates for the business unit managers Chairs project update meetings; assigns actions and monitors progress to establish deadlines. Monitors and summarizes financial aspects by client, by study Conducts pre-visit project review sessions with project teams and prepares presentation materials Education/Qualifications Knowledge of regulatory requirements for drug development and project management. Proven effective organizational skills. Able to track numerous multi-departmental projects. Excellent technical understanding of toxicology, metabolism, chemistry, and pharmacokinetics.client representatives to reach resolution. Excellent communication skills, especially written skills. Ability to attend domestic and international technical conferences/exhibits, and entertain clients after regular business hours is required. Experience PhD in toxicology preferred plus 10-15 years of related experience.
