Job Description: Research various Student Affairs issues and documents, as directed by the Vice President, including performing statistical analysis, documenting narrative and graphic findings, and recommending appropriate course(s) of action. Draft reports using data and outcome and assessment information from the Vice President and senior staff members detailing outcomes of projects, completion of goals and targets, and recommendations for future direction. Serve as an internal consultant for interpreting and ensuring compliance of College and CUNY policies and procedures and student policies. Create and maintain a program for timely responses to constituents' questions and concerns; ensure Divisional responses are accurate, appropriate and timely. Serve as the division representative at various College and outside meetings and may serve as VPs representative. Represent the Vice President in planning and carrying out division activities. Advise and complement the Vice President in anticipating, initiating, coordinating and facilitating the policy and planning needs of the division. Ensure the Division prepares University-required documents and responses within mandated timeframes. Draft and recommend new Student Affairs policies and procedures to improve operations. Implement and maintain official Division policies, procedures, rules, databases, records and correspondence; coordinate records archiving and disposal. Supervise, direct and evaluate administrative support staff, including full-time employees, graduate students and student workers. Develop, administer, monitor and maintain all Student Affairs budgets so that accurate and timely financial information is available; compile reports showing activities and balances for multiple budgets; provide fiscal information and prepare budget updates and projections for the new fiscal year; prepare community budget presentation material; and advise the Vice President of required documentation for yearly budget and reports. Recommend changes in budget allocations as needed and prepare annual budget requests and supplemental requests for the Vice Presidents Office and Student Affairs division. Prepare charts/graphs representing budget forecasts.
