Job Description:
The Online Program Director is responsible for strategically planning and implementing the school\'s mission through the efficient and effective leadership and management of the school\'s students and staff. This hands-on contributor will be committed to establishing and maintaining lines of communication with teachers, families and students, while also setting high personal and professional standards and motivating others. Key Elements: Provide instructional leadership by applying known virtual school best practices. Provide instructional and learning leadership that focuses on the four basic elements of: curriculum, instruction, performance and evaluation. Use appropriate assessment data to demonstrate in-year learning gains. Set high expectations and standards for the academic and social development of all students and the performance of adults. Create a school culture that focuses on student and adult learning. Demand content and instruction that ensures student achievement of academic standards. Use multiple sources of data collection to analyze barriers to achievement and to access, identify and apply instructional improvement. Conduct online course observations and complete periodic faculty evaluation snapshots. Collaborate closely with online faculty to identify student academic support needs and assist with program specific student support program development and implementation. Collaborate with the Mosaica curriculum development process to ensure each online course is developed in a manner to effectively and efficiently deliver students a quality online experience.
