Job Description:
Functions in the role of advisor to RCA teams · Ensures that RCA\'s are complete, that all technical requirements are met, and all implementation requirements are accurately identified. · Familiar with and proficient in the use of SPOT, VHA\'s national patient safety software application. · Follows-up on RCA Actions/Outcome Measures. · Performs general patient safety programmatic functions including: · Serves as the facility point of contact for Patient Safety Alerts/Advisories, including tracking system actions. · Serves as member of various medical center and VISN committees, as appropriate to the position, e.g., Safety/Environment of Care. · Conducts periodic environmental patient safety inspections. · Collaborates with Biomedical Engineer, Occupational Safety Manager, Industrial Hygienist/ Infection Control, etc. · Disseminates Patient Safety Reporting System (PSRS) program information. · Provides new employee patient safety orientation and training. · Acts as the Point of Contact for facility patient safety issues with NCPS. · Initiates and advises on Healthcare Failure Mode Effects Analysis (HFMEA) · Familiar with and addresses resulderation or may not be considered eligible.The materials you send with your application will not be returned.If you fax your application, we will not consider it.You may be required to serve a probationary period of 2 years.How To Apply:You must submit your application so that it will be received by the closing date of the announcement.
