Therapist and Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials are required. Exceptions to the degree requirements may be made for compelling reasons. Preferred Qualifications: Five years teaching experience in an approved Respiratory Care Program preferred. Experience in academic curriculum and course design; assessment and evaluation techniques in academic program effectiveness; and experience with accreditation procedures and strategies recommended. A demonstrated understanding of the mission of the comprehensive community college and its diverse commuter student population is essential. Responsibilities Under the direction of the Director of Nursing and Allied Health , the Respiratory Care Program Director is accountable for development and delivery of CoARC and CAAHEP accredited programs meeting the instructional goals of the college through program development, evaluation, assessment and accreditation; faculty selection and professional development; instructional quality; administration and resource management, including oversight of clinical facilities and preceptors, related course development and evaluation, student advisement, tutoring and admission, and budget and fiscal management.
