Job Description:
Electrical engineer / designer. The designer’s qualifications can include a degree or the
applicant can substitute practical experience. The applicant shall:
• Have an in-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Have been directly involved in, or has intimate knowledge of, commercial and /
or industrial electrical construction.
o Wiring methods
o Materials
• Be capable of developing One-line diagrams and / or Riser diagrams.
• Be capable of performing load analysis, fault current calculations, voltage drop
calculations, lighting analysis.
• Be capable of sizing feeders and branch circuits and over-current protection
devices
• Be capable of developing layouts / sketches, concepts, ideas of design to be
further drawn by draftsmen.
• Be capable of developing Bills of Material.
• Have at least a minimum understanding of control circuits. (not programming ,
but ladder logic diagrams)
Job Requirements:
Knowledge of ACAD is a plus.
Degree required.
