Job Description:
Five years of clinical practice & two years of supervisory experience recommended. Experience with manual orthopaedic intervention, orthopaedic clinical specialist (OCS) or recommended long term orthopaedic manual therapy education. Experience with sports rehabilitation or is sports certified helpful. Experience in program and service development. Experience in coaching, mentoring, and facilitating staff development. Evidenced based practice & knowledge of functional outcomes and quality improvement to maintain cost effective and quality care. Experienced with evaluation, treatment, assessment, appropriate goal setting, and planning treatment primarily for the out patient orthopedic dysfunctions. Orthopaedic manual skills required. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, verbal and written English communication skills required Working knowledge of computer keyboard required. Ability to work in a fast paced setting and frequent interactions with other with ability to set priorities. Must have exceptional customer service skills. Must be able to act as a role model related to professional appearance & behavior. Must be able to demonstrate and maintain professional conduct to include dealing courteously, tactfully and patiently with patients, co-workers, and consumers. Must have a good attendance and punctuality record and it is expected to be maintained. Spanish or additional language skills are helpful DUTIES: Assumes all responsibilities as outlined on the Senior Physical Therapist job profile. Assists the Director of Rehabilitation Services in developing policies and procedures related to professional development, the delivery of care, quality improvement, and professional competency. Assists the Director of Rehabilitation Services in administrative tasks related to daily department functioning. Evaluates the performance of the physical therapy staff.
