Major Duties: Edward Hines Jr. VA Medical Center at Hines, Illinois, in the near Western Suburbs of Chicago, just west of the Loop, is seeking applicants for the position of Outpatient Pharmacy Supervisor. The supervisory pharmacist is responsible for the professional, administrative management and supervision of all outpatient pharmacists, technicians, and other supportive personnel in providing a safe, efficient and cost-effective medication dispensing system. Work in a modern pharmacy, which includes computerized physician order entry and automation with bar code technology, where you will be part of a dynamic team providing pharmaceutical care to our nation\'s veterans. We are looking for a leader with excellent communication and teambuilding skills who has 2-5 years of hospital and/or retail experience and prior supervisory experience. Qualifications: Applicants must meet all of the requirements for the position as stated in VA Handbook 5005, Part II, Appendix G15 and have full, current and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a state, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. Minimal qualification requirements include the completion of one (1) year of professional pharmacist experience at the next lower grade (GS-12) level or equivalent.: Applicants must be a citizen of the United States. by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE), or prior to the establishment of ACPE, have been a member of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP).
