Job Description:
As Project Engineer you will manage the development and implementation of capital investment projects for this consumer products manufacturing facility. Projects include new equipment or modification of existing equipment or assets. Duties include: reviewing the scope, budget and timing for each project and then generating a design document for each; creating detailed engineering and project management for the assigned projects; qualifying potential vendors and managing the vendor relationships; coordinating installation activities with Plant Production; and participating in company environmental continuous improvement initiatives by seeking out and employing increased resource efficiency opportunities and promoting and participating in waste conservation/management efforts. Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required – Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, or other engineering discipline.
Required Skills: 2+ years experience in consumer products or food manufacturing with responsibility for production management; must also have good communication, interpersonal, negotiation, leadership, and customer service skills; and strong project management, analytical and problem solving skills.
