Job Description:
Qualification Requirements: Online applications are required.Minimum: Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, business or public administration, or a related area. Extensive management experience and a strong record of achievement managing public works or urban infrastructure operations and maintenance, or a closely related area. Desirable: Preference may be given to candidates with one or more of the following: a) a degree in civil engineering or a related field; b) solid grounding of technical knowledge and experience in the areas of public works and/or urban systems management (water, sanitary, storm, pavement, concrete); c) local or state government experience generally in urban public works and specifically in engineering, water system operations and maintenance, storm sewer maintenance, sanitary sewer maintenance and repair and/or street maintenance; d) experience managing emergency response teams; e) experience managing a large multi-unit professional, technical, non-professional trades and administrative staff through first line supervisors; f) strong leadership, customer service and collaboration skills; g) excellent oral and written communication skills and/or h) experience conducting information sessions with executive level officials and the public to discuss public works and/or urban infrastructure issues.
