Job Description:
Responsible for the continual review and analysis of investment portfolio and/or capital markets products supported by Treasury Operations. Reviews investment portfolio and/or capital markets transactions for proper posting, proper accounting treatment, and accurate reporting output from the back office systems and the General Ledger. Performs monitoring of department risks, production trends and statistics.Position Accountabilities 1. Reviews and analyzes investment portfolio and/or capital markets activities, ensuring transaction data reported meets management, regulatory and audit guidelines. 2. Evaluates investment portfolio and/or capital markets transactions to ensure compliance with accounting policies affecting these transactions.3. Analyzes the performance and profitability of products, including monitoring of yields, values of investment securities by category, gains on sales of securities and values of derivative instruments.4. Acts as primary liaison to external vendors supporting investment portfolio and/or capital markets applications in designing and testing any new or existing application changes.5. Evaluates transactions for correct posting, proper accounting treatment and accurate reporting. Recommends resolutions of any outstanding issues discerned through evaluation process.6. Reviews trade settlements for securities purchased/sold to ensure proper setup and compliance in the systems of record. 7. Establishes and implements methodology for issues resolution in conjunction with management.8. Reviews accounting treatment and analyzes general ledger activity related to investment and/or capital markets activities to assess reasonableness of balances from period to period.9. Develops new investment portfolio and/or capital markets output reports in conjunction with management.10. Executes monthly compliance reporting and self assessment with Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
