Job Description:
Federated Dorchester Neighborhood Houses, Inc. Seeking an experienced Finance Manager with exceptional attention to detail and able to manage and perform routine accounting functions. S/he will also able to make higher level decisions to refine and improve accounting and finance processes. Must be familiar with Accounting software, Platinum for Windows a plus!!! S/he will also be able to create useful and concise reports for management. Major duties include preparation of monthly financial reports for review by management and the Board of Directors; overseeing the development of the annual budget; conducting regular cost analysis, expenditure controls, reconciliations, and forecasting; annual audit preparation and follow-through. Position is responsible for ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) standards, and with all applicable federal and state regulations accounting and reporting policies, procedure and requirements. The Finance Manager reports to the Director of Finance and Administration.
