The National Institute for Computer-Assisted Reporting by arranging and traveling to various locations through out the U.S. to teach computer-assisted reported to target audiences. Required Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Journalism or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary. Two to three years of experience with programming and systems and network administration is necessary; one year experience with computer-assisted reporting is necessary. Must have experience and demonstrated ability as a trainer/teacher in the continuing of higher education. Preferred Qualifications: Five years experience in broadcast or print investigative journalism and aspects of computer-assisted reporting; demonstrated teaching ability; excellent computer skills; knowledge of statistics and research methods. Detailed Description: Prepare curriculum for on-the-road seminars. Set up a network of volunteer instructors and coaches. Work with conference coordinator on materials & arrangements for traveling seminars. Coordinate & blend curriculum with Missouri seminars, including production of manuals, pamphlets, slide shows, videos and other audio/visual presentations. Handle all arrangements for on-the-road seminars except pricing, billing and other financial matters. Work with trainers within the news industry to keep abreast of latest trends.
