Job Description:
Serve as the chief statewide decision-maker for the evaluation of engineering aspects related to wastewater permit issuance. Recommend and promote establishment of administrative codes through administrative channels for adoption by the Natural Resources Board. Serve as the statewide engineering authority on the installation of wastewater conveyance and treatment systems for industrial and municipal applications. Maintain professional engineering certification to serve as statewide engineer in charge of the review and approval of engineering studies and plans that are carried out externally. Supervise, assist, train and coach section staff and team members. Applicants must be licensed as a professional engineer in Wisconsin or must be able to obtain a license within two years of his/her appointment to the position.
