Job Description:
The University South Florida invites nominations and applications for the position of Senior Vice President for Business and Finance. The Senior Vice President reports to the President and is responsible for the management and direction of the financial, operational, and administrative services infrastructure of the University and financial oversight of such subsidiary entities as direct support organizations in a manner that effectively supports and enhances the academic, research, and public service missions of the institution. As a member of the President\'s Cabinet, the Senior Vice President works with other University leaders in developing and evolving a broad University vision and strategy through the implementation of financial and operational plans. Units reporting to the Senior Vice President include Financial Operations, General Business Operations, Human Resources, Facilities Management, Public Safety, and Enterprise Business Systems. The Senior Vice President is expected to lead and supervise these units to accomplish key institutional goals using best business practices and innovation. The Senior Vice President will be responsible for providing systems, human resources, and processes for developing, recording, reporting, and controlling financial operations in support of academic and research missions. The Senior Vice President will work closely with the University Board of Trustees, State of Florida officials, and representatives of other internal and external constituencies and represents the University in matters of strategic importance to USF.
