Job Description: The goal of the petition drives is to increase youth awareness about the need for dramatic improvement in our schools and provide youth with an opportunity to become involved in a youth-led, grassroots campaign to make a difference in the issue that affects us most: our education. A Petition Drive Director would be responsible for building a team of students who are dedicated to the cause, creating a plan for how to gather as many signatures for the petition as possible from your fellow youth, and executing this plan. Student leaders who volunteer with this effort will be eligible to receive community service hours towards graduation, club requirements, or other honors written by staff at Our Education. Students who successfully lead a petition drive will also have their name and school featured on Those who display a high level of dedication and effort will also receive consideration for higher level involvement in Our Education as regional directors, National Student Conference invitees, and other important strategic positions. Our Education staff will work with you to craft a plan for your school / community and provide you with the resources (blank petition sheets, fliers, etc.) necessary to complete the task.
