Job Description:
Unit Superintendent, the Sausage Formulation Supervisor (afternoons) is accountable for the formulation of sausage products for processing during the afternoon shift. Key Accountabilities: * Accountable to maximize the value and yield of the product processed. Ensures raw and cooked product and inedible waste is handled according to good manufacturing processes, CFIA regulations and HAACP protocols * Ensures products are prepared for packaging and meet Customer quality specifications. * Accountable for effective utilization of assigned resources including unionized front line department employees. * Accountable for the human resource practices and industrial relations in the department. * Ensures safe work environment for employees, customers, and visitors. * Effective communications with CFIA, QA, Maintenance and other departments. * Accountable for effective interaction with downstream internal customers: Packing Department. Skills, Abilities and Qualifications: * A minimum of two years in a further processing environment. * Ability to communicate clearly in English verbally and in writing.
