Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITY: * Lead Site continuous improvement efforts: * Perform as a proactive “change agent” to implement process, procedure and cultural improvements. * Assist with or lead lean manufacturing based projects. Educate the workforce on lean principles; provide continuous improvement philosophy across the site. * Collaborate with leadership to assess the current state of the plant’s operations; develop “Future State” strategic vision and develop implementation plans. * Prepare detailed plans, drive project performance, and assure timely completion and achievement of product / process quality and savings goals. * Ensure safe work practices and lead all safety programs and initiatives. * Coordinate Occupational Safety and Health efforts for the site. Support and participate in plant wide safety audits. * Lead the plant medical and substance abuse prevention programs. * Develop, monitor, and review production metrics and collaborate with leadership to develop a plant roadmap. * Develop and manage budget and forecast for assigned areas. * Develop cross-functional team members to solve day-to-day operational issues by increasing troubleshooting skills. * Support Plant objectives and goals * Provide leadership that encourages teamwork and facilitates continuous and sustainable performance improvements. * Ensure team members receive feedback on performance in a firm and timely manner. Requirements Experience* 5-10 years experience working in a manufacturing plant required. * Behavior based safety skills preferred * Supervisory experience preferred * Lean manufacturing experience, with a solid understanding of lean principles. * Must possess strong mathematical skills and statistical analysis methodology *
