Our operation in Channelview, Texas is currently seeking a Second Shift Production Supervisor. Position Overview Reporting to the Plant Superintendent, the Production Supervisor oversees employees in the manufacture of resistance welded steel bar grating. Key Functions Trains, leads and motivates production employees Promotes effective employee relations by providing employee coaching and development. Assigns work to, instructs and supervises hourly employees engaged in the production of grating products Schedules work in his department in coordination with other plant departments and with order shipment schedules, inspects completed work and work in progress, assists with inventories, attends production meetings, holds daily safety meetings and investigates and prepares reports on any industrial accidents which occur in his area of responsibility. Solves daily production problems and assists the Plant Superintendent in the resolution of more complex issues Position Requirements Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a production environment Team-oriented and exceptional interpersonal skills Experience in a steel manufacturing environment is beneficial The ideal candidate for this position would possess: A strong analytical and technical background with mechanical, hydraulic and electronically operated manufacturing equipment.
