Job Description:
Execute automated and manual tests on UMTS test phones. Features to be tested include Streaming Video (3GP/RealMedia/Windows Media/etc), Browser, MMS, Camera/Camcorder, and other audio types. System level of testing requires engineer to become proficient both in applications protocols as well as wireless protocols (GSM/GPRS, WCDMA, Bluetooth, A-GPS). Analyze results, debug failures, write bug reports and follow up with developers. Maintain automation scripts (Perl) and develop enhancements to make the automation more efficient and accurate. Requirements: Skills/Experience Wireless/cellular communications theory and protocols, UMTS, WCDMA, GSM/GPRS, TCP/IP, Ethereal, Agilent 8960, Perl, test automation. Experience with multimedia and IP-based applications such as streaming video, web browser, messaging, digital cameras, audio formats (preferably on a mobile platform). Rapid, eager learner required.
