Do you love animals? Want to help engage the public and promote adoptions from shelters? KittyKind ) is a non-profit, all-volunteer, no-kill cat shelter and rescue organization with an adoption center in Petco, Union Square. We are seeking a media / PR professional to help our Events committee. KittyKind's volunteers hold fundraisers and fun adoption events throughout the year, but in order to make these successful so we can find more homes for our feline friends awaiting adoption, we need help getting the word out. Tasks include: 1.) working closely with a fantastic group of volunteers to brainstorm, come up with ideas, get creative -- all to increase adoptions and spread the word ab.) posting KittyKind events on many different online resources including Facebook, Craigslist, websites for local TV & radio stations, among others 3.) monitoring press and news for possible media coverage 4.) contacting local media, encouraging them to cover our events and our organization's great work in their publications or shows 5.) KittyKind is a member of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals
