Hospital Main CampusThe Nurse Manager of the Pediatric Clinical Research Center assures that clinical research studies are conducted in accordance with the IRB-approved protocol, Guidelines for , and Good Clinical Practice. The nurse manager is responsible for overseeing that research visits are performed according to the study protocol, ensures that subject protections and safety are assured for each research patient, resolves potential conflicts which may arise through the planning and execution of protocols, and functions as a resource to maintain the overall quality of all clinical protocols conducted on the. The nurse manager maintains a visible presence on the and in the hospital, interacting with patients, investigators, and staff on a daily basis.Major responsibilities include the ongoing education and evaluation of the PCRC staff, oversight for regulatory compliance including reporting of adverse events, protocol deviations/violations, and investigator compliance with all applicable regulations governing research. Requires: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Current Washington State RN license, and at least 5 years of nursing experience, to include:3 years recent clinical experience in pediatric ambulatory setting, and clinical research experience with knowledge of federal regulations and Guidelines. Prefers: recent clinic experience in community health and/or ambulatory care, especially experience in multiple specialties, at least 3 years of recent experience in a management and/or leadership role, and masters degree in nursing or business related field.
