Job Description:

Work closely with senior management and department managers to monitor expense drivers against budget. Enhance automation processes for budgeting and forecasting using Cognos Planning. *Management Reporting - Prepare and publish a monthly internal management reporting package with key metrics to monitor the Company's performance. Focus will be to develop a succinct report that promotes actionable corporate behaviors. Additionally, develop and distribute a weekly flash report with simple key metrics. *Budget vs. Actual (BVA) Analysis - Prepare and publish monthly spending reports vs. budget including documentation of material variances. Present succinct BVA analysis to CFO and Finance Director. *Other - Work on special projects and provide ad hoc analysis as needed. Assist with SOX implementation, compliance and testing (2009). Assist with the analysis for quarterly reviews and the annual audit process. Support the monthly close accrual process by partnering with Accounting Minimum Desired Qualifications: Preferred: *BS/BA in accounting, finance or economics *5-8 years in corporate finance/accounting, ideally a mix of corporate FP&A and public accounting *Prior experience in a manufacturing environment *Advanced Excel modeling skills required; experience with Cognos Planning a plus *Reasonably strong knowledge of GAAP, CPA a plus Characteristics: *Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks, cope with multiple deadlines and work under pressure *Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with co-workers *Ability to communicate at executive and senior management level *
