The addition of our new program will now allow CNG to expand their services to the consumers in Suffolk County as well as Nassau County. Staff work directly with consumers, teaching them independent living skills and offering the supports needed to assist in the recovery process. Counselors are kept busy from morning to night working in partnership with the residents. The goal of all of the counselors' work is to ensure that everyone at Central Nassau lives up to their fullest potential. While the work itself is both highly diverse and challenging, the satisfaction that comes from seeing a resident successfully complete the program is a gift for life to the employee.
