Job Description:
Office Manager role within our San Jose, CA Office. As one of the countries leading and largest multi-disciplinary engineering firms, our firm primarily focuses upon private, municipal, state & federal projects. Recently expanding to the San Jose area and opening a brand new office; we are now in immediate need of a Senior Civil Engineer, PE to take on the role of Office Manager. This Office Manager / Senior Civil Engineer, PE will be responsible for providing office oversight, guidance, and direction to Project Management, Staff, & Junior Civil Engineering staff as they partake in a highly diverse range of civil land development, public works, municipal, infrastructure, and water resources projects. Office Manager must have strong client business development skills and experience and the ability to assist firm in the generation of new business & projects. Must be highly comfortable with the preparation and understanding of service contracts & proposals, service fee agreements, etc. Office Manager must have strong Project & Team Management skills and the technical expertise to assist in project design, budgeting, scheduling, estimating, construction documents production, review, and QC, construction administration, client interaction, and consultant and contractor coordination. Office Manager will also be responsible for hiring new staff and growing office as it continues to bring in more projects and work. Will be responsible for branch office profit and loss analysis. Needed Qualifications: Bachelors of Masters degree in Engineering (must be civil, structural, mechanical, or environmental)Must have 12 to 20+ years of engineering consulting experience (preferable civil, structural, mechanical, or environmental)Must have large scale private, municipal, state & federal projects experience pertaining to land development, public works, infrastructure, water resources, or municipalities.Must have current Professional Engineer License.
