Job Description:
We are seeking a talented DBA to help with the architecture of our existing databases for speed, scaling, and data structures. Some operational responsibility will be required as we grow. Responsibilities - Design, optimize, tune, develop, monitor performance and analyze game databases - Perform code reviews for newly developed database applications - Assist the Q.A. department in testing applications and services which interact with the DB - Coordinate with internal teams to consult, troubleshoot and escalate problems - Implement and maintain database security, users, roles and privileges - Setup and maintain documentation and standards - Plan growth and changes (capacity planning) - Work as part of a team and provide 7x24 support when required - Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures Requirements - Experience with UNIX/Linux systems and utilities - Previous experience maintaining and/or developing MySQL databases - Familiarity with SQL and basic concepts such as table joins and set operations - Ability to automate reports and processes -
