Vice President will join the finance support team for Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity (MLGPE) which seeks to make equity and equity-related investments in select companies on a global basis. MLGPE undertakes growth capital, financial restructuring or change of control investments and focuses on significant minority and control ownership positions. MLGPE typically holds investments for the medium-to-long term (3 to 7 years). Brief Description: Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity is seeking a Vice President to oversee individual and assist with initial structures on various fund accounting and financial management reporting initiatives. Job Responsibilities: Position is supervisory as Vice President will oversee individual and assist with initial structures on various fund accounting and financial management reporting initiatives anticipated over the next several months. Candidate will also be involved in: Analysis and review of legal and management books and records Review and implementation of partnership agreements as it relates to fund operations and carry schemes Reviewing IRR calculations for portfolio investments Review Investment Team valuations in accordance with documented valuation policies and procedures Monthly closings including the calculations of net asset values of partnerships and communication with Merrill Lynch corporate accounting and investor/ partners Preparation and review of audited financial statements of the legal entities & fund Preparation and review of K-1s to partners including filing of partnerships 1065 tax returns Provide ad hoc financial analysis and information to the management, investors and limited partners Assist other areas in Global Private Equity Finance relating to analysis of Merrill Lynch private investments Qualifications:
